It’s still the beginning of the year, and you’ve been back a couple of weeks, so maybe it’s time you take stock of all your office supplies. Make sure that you are supplied with all the office essentials to make sure that your office is working at an optimum.
Here’s a small list of handy office supplies that are often overlooked but underestimated.
- Post-It Notes: Most offices have these, so for those that don’t they’re clearly missing out on a useful trick. Post-It Notes are adhesive backed notes that can be stuck to objects and walls, communicating quick information and tasks, and are simply stored in dispensers.
- New Mouse Pads: Most office employees have mouse pads, if not all employees. However, it may be worth ordering customized mouse pads with company information displayed on the surface. Some mouse pads come with wrist rests which can offer employees wrist support and reduce their chances of getting carpal tunnel syndrome.
- Envelopes: Make sure that your office is well stocked with envelopes of different sizes and shapes. This can help in a number of situations where packages and documents need to be sent. Many offices make the assumption that only standard sized envelopes are needed, but they’re mistaken.
- Desk Organizers: Many people usually store stationary in a single drawer or container. This makes the stationary cluttered, and the desk disorganized. A disorganized desk leads to terrible work, so ensure that you have desk organizers for all the staff in the office.
- Clipboards: We are moving into a paperless environment, but some things are easier documented on paper. For this reason its a good idea to have a few paper clipboards lying around. They provide a perfect platform on which to make notes or check lists.
- Corrugated Cardboard Boxes: That’s right. Offices only stock cardboard boxes in times of removal, however they have a number of uses. From neatly storing items, to organizing stock around the back office, make sure you have cardboard boxes on hand. For your supply of corrugated cardboard boxes, click here.
- Labels: Not many corporate offices carry plain white adhesive labels. They do, however, help organize the office, and aid in the labeling in all manner of objects from files, documents, electronics and other stationary. If you need office labels, then click here.
