The base substrate of filament packaging tape can be either polypropylene or polyester, with fibreglass filaments embedded in them to add a high tensile strength to the tape. This pressure sensitive tape can be used for many applications, but is generally the tape of choice for heavier duty functions due to its additional strength component.
