Why Paper is Used In Meat Packaging

Why Paper is Used In Meat Packaging

By on Nov 30, 2015 in Uncategorized | 0 comments

You’ve either had direct experience, or you’ve at least seen in movies or old television shows how meat and other fresh produce was packaged in paper. Nowadays there has been a resurgence in the packaging of food with paper. Meat packaging in food boutique and traditional style butcheries have begun using paper in their efforts to continue with both the culture, and reap the benefits of paper packaged meat. So what are the benefits of packaging meat with paper? The ultimate advantage of using paper in the meat packaging process, especially when selling meat cuts to the end user, is that it helps with the curing process. It is good for meat to ‘breathe’, as the oxygen helps sustain enzymes that break down the meat and allow it to remain tender. Paper packaging also helps to absorb any liquid that seeps from the meat. It would never be good to hand meat over to a customer while it is dripping in blood. Paper will soak up the meat and leave it dry enough to get home and store in the fridge. Paper also keeps the meat moist. Just as much as it keeps everything dry for the customer, paper packaging for meat allows the meat to retain the blood and liquids that will make the meat juicy. Paper will also provide the blockage from light that meat requires. Light can lead to a colour change in the meat, and will also contribute to the growth of bacteria. Although a little bacteria is needed for the curing process, too much can cause rot. Paper is clean, and is manufactured with wood chips and very few additives (none of which actually contaminate the meat). How to Protect a Cardboard Box From Water

How to Protect a Cardboard Box From Water

By on Nov 23, 2015 in Uncategorized | 0 comments

Corrugated cardboard boxes just about do anything to protect your assets from danger. They are soft enough to protect from bumps and abrasions, yet rigid enough to resist crumpling and can be easily stored. However, there exists a weakness for the humble corrugated cardboard box, and this weakness is water. A corrugated cardboard box does well to prevent assets from getting wet from splashes and small sprays of water, but with sustained exposure to water the box will become saturated and will disintegrate. To prevent this damage from occurring, here are a few ways you can protect a cardboard box from water: You can use lamination in order to protect a cardboard box from water. Get laminated sheets that are large enough to cover the top, bottom and sides of your corrugated cardboard box, and make sure they are stuck down without leaving any air pockets. This is a great way to reduce water damage on cardboard boxes. One can use a number of other plastic packaging supplies to protect a cardboard box from water. If a box needs to be sealed and will not be opened until reaching a destination, then pallet wrapping a box with clear plastic sheeting should be enough to ensure you protect a cardboard box from water. Tightly wrapped bubble-wrap can also protect your cardboard box from water, while also protecting the box with it’s bubble protection technology. Simply purchase rubberized-coating to protect a cardboard box from water damage. A rubberized-coating can be purchased from a number of hardware stores and paint shops. A thin, dried layer of rubbarized coating on any box should be just enough to protect the box from any water splashes and even rain. Make sure that you protect your cardboard box from water by employing any of the above techniques. However, if you require a supply of corrugated cardboard boxes for both the packaging, industrial and corporate use, contact Design Packaging & Tapes...

Optimizing Your Package With Packaging Labels

Optimizing Your Package With Packaging Labels

By on Nov 16, 2015 in Uncategorized | 0 comments

Your packages protect your precious assets, and whether you are sending packages or merely storing them it is important for others to know the content within, or at least understand the importance of the content within. That’s why packaging labels were developed: Packaging labels can be bought in their plain white form so that package owners or couriers can write important information on the package. This can include lists of content, instructions for content, directions and addresses or other important information. Make sure that you source a packaging labels supplier that can make the plain white labels to your specification so that you can write the information you require. Plain white labels are also packaging labels that can be used by retailers that require them for product information. Pre-printed packaging label stickers can also be made for you with customized details. Images and information can be given to packaging labels suppliers so that they may print the designs onto the labels beforehand. This can include branding, product information and any other details. Fragile packaging labels can be provided by a packaging labels supplier. Fragile labels can be placed on products and packages to notify those handling the package that the items within are fragile, and they can be easily damaged. Coloured labels are another kind of packaging labels that can be used for identification purposes. By using brightly coloured labels, handlers, couriers, suppliers and retailers can easily identify packages for certain functions. A packaging labels supplier can provide you with all the above-mentioned labels, but only a professional packaging labels supplier can customize your order to fit your every requirement as well as deliver your order to your door. If you require an expert and efficient packaging labels supplier make sure you contact Design Packaging & Tapes...
